Recently, Shanghai Municipal Development & Reform Commission officially approved CASCO as the leading undertaker of Shanghai Engineering Research Center of Intelligent Railway Dispatching Command System in the reply to its preparation works. Before then, Shanghai Engineering Research Center of Driverless Train Control of Urban Guided Transport led by CASCO was officially put into operation and won unanimous praise in the industry.
In response to the demand of developing Shanghai into a globally influential technology innovation center, Shanghai Engineering Research Center of Intelligent Railway Dispatching Command System will initially function as an influential research center for intelligent railway dispatching command system across the country, under which a reasonably structured innovation team will be formed to support breakthroughs in key common technologies and transformation of innovation results; after that, the Center will continuously implement breakthroughs and engineering application of key technology and study industrial standards to build strong product test capabilities, attract, cultivate and gather top-class talents and technical backbones of the industry, and finally grows into a domestically excellent and internationally leading research center for intelligent railway dispatching command systems and becomes a participant in preparing international railway industry standards.
The Center will be built on the basis of industry-college-institute cooperation with full utilization of resources from the industry chain. With comprehensive cooperation and coordinated innovation, the Center will focus on breakthroughs in technologies on intelligent dispatching command system, engineering, craft, test platform, information sharing with other transportation systems as well as training platform, thus improving the intelligence of railway dispatching command system.
As the main undertaker of the Center, CASCO will enhance organizational measures and carefully implement preparation works, focus on solving major technical barriers in the industry to improve capabilities of the Center in independent innovation and engineering development, and lead technical advancement and transformation of innovation fruits, so as to better serve the country, the city and the railway industry.
On the afternoon of October 31, CASCO, together with Shanghai Shentong Metro Group Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as “Shentong Group”), Shanghai Telecom, Huawei, Shanghai Communications Services and other partners, launched China’s first rail transit operation management platform based on 5G applications – “5G+ Intelligent Operation Command Platform”, which is the first customized application of CASCO’s “Fully Automatic Operation System 2.0” for intelligent metros since its official release in June this year. At present, the platform has been officially put into operation at East Xujing Station of Shanghai Metro Line 2, aiming to provide intelligent rail transit service for the success of the Second China International Import Expo.
On October 11, 2019, under the escort of several CASCO signaling systems, the passenger dedicated line from Meizhou to Chaozhou-Shantou region officially entered into passenger-carrying operation, marking that the northeastern part of Guangdong was officially integrated into the “three-hour economic and living circle” of Guangzhou and Shenzhen.
At 10:00 a.m. on October 9, 2019, CASCO’s FZK-CTC3.0 centralized traffic control system with complete intellectual property rights was officially put into operation for Datong-Qinhuangdao Railway, the first heavy-haul railway in China. CASCO upgraded and transformed its original CTC system and assisted the successful reconstruction of signaling system, making it the first heavy-haul railway to be overhauled and renovated in China. It has not only greatly improved the freight capacity of the railway, but also set a new benchmark in the dispatching command of busy heavy-haul freight trunk railways with a capacity of ten thousand tons.
